9th Annual Green Economics Institute Conference

There was an impressive line up of speakers at the Green Economics Conference in Oxford last week. It was fascinating to hear debates between, for example, Kyoto Carbon Trading Protocol architect Graciela Chichilnisky and renowned radical economists such as Dr Tony Lawson of Cambridge University. And it was particularly inspiring to hear Prof. Indira Dutta talking of a “Gandhian Green Paradigm”. This amidst a diverse mix of academics, campaigners and green professionals – more here: greeneconomics.org.uk. Radical economics is alive, well and very encouraging.
